>>> DCS-920 Configuration Wireless Mode

I. To access the configuration page of the camera you need to open the configuration page of your camera DCS-920:
1. Open a Internet Explorer (IE)
2. Type in the address bar the IP address of your camera (e.g. http://192.168.1.34)
3. Press Enter
4. Typed in the username that is “admin” and the password " "
5. Click OK or Login

II. Click Setup on the top tab.

III. Click Wireless Setup on the left menu.
1. Click Enable on wireless settings
2. Click Site Survey
3. Choose your network on the list by clicking the wireless network.
4. Go to wireless security mode, and choose your router's security mode.
5. Enter the appropriate network key/passphrase
6. Click Save Settings

IV. Please wait few second (3-5 sec) and unplug the ethernet cables.

V. Try to access the camera after seconds.

NOTE: This new IP camera model able to connect through wireless without turn off the camera (Same with DCS-2121)

>>> DCS-920 Remote Access (With a Linksys router)

1. Login inside if your camera (e.g. 192.168.1.101) (Or your Camera's IP address).
If you don’t know camera's IP address, please use D-Link installation wizard to find your IP address.

2. Click Setup > Network Setup > Port Settings

3. Change the Second HTTP Port to Enable, and change the Port to 8080

4. Click Save Settings

5. Go to www.dyndns.org and create an account, and including a Dynamic DNS hostname
(Instructions are in the website of dyndns.org)

6. Please call Linksys, and have them do port forwarding for port number 8080, and port number 554, the protocol type is TCP and UDP and give them the IP address of the camera.

7. Also tell them to put all your DDNS username, password and hostname on the router
(Their Router must support DDNS, which is a common function on a router nowadays)

8. Tell them to save all the settings

9. Call us back and provide us the hostname so that we can test the camera.

Dynamic DNS (DDNS) allows remote administration of the DCS series IP camera using a domain name in situations where a static IP address is not available. Each time a new dynamic WAN IP address is pulled, the camera updates the IP address with the DDNS service provider.

(Do this on the computer inside of the place where the camera is installed))

Step 1 Please go to www.dyndns.com to register an account, click “sign up now” to start creating your DDNS account. While you are going through the registration process, you will need to create “Username and password”

Step 2 After the registration, you will receive an email from Dyndns, please activate your account from your email. After that you should be able to login to your newly created account.

Step 3 Once you've successfully login, click on My Services

Step 4. Under Host Level Services, click on Add Host Services

Step 5. Under Add Host Services, click on Add Dynamic DNS Host

Step 6. Key in a host name click on Add Host button.

Step 7. You are now done with creating DDNS account.
